Sometimes as a start-up designer getting out to events and having time to myself is hard, especially when you also work full-time. So now that it's Spring in Toronto, I have to take full advantage of what the city has to offer.
First stop was the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (MOCCA), they just started a new show called Part Picture, show casing work from various photography as apart of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. The show runs from May 1 - May 31 at various locations around Toronto.
I loved the height of this piece by Mariah Robinson, I had to do a panorama to get the full effect of the piece, the chemical treatment by Robertson brings out amazing colour and horizontal ripple effect making me wonder how the world she did this, did she lie it flat or have to hung up?
I have so many ideas for this piece on a swim suit, a white one piece with the chemical print down the side, I think it would look really dope.
Keeping inspiration alive like t is what these Weekend Wanders are about, but believe it or not, this isn't the end of my weekend...
